New builds often have issues with deliveries due to addresses not showing up on maps.
We’ve seen parcels left at empty houses & lost/confused delivery drivers. As such we’ve been in contact with various map sites to get that fixed. We’ve even experienced deliveries dumped by the estate entrance or even in the industrial estate!
Amazon (and other large delivery companies) use a map service that is built on a map system that was 10+ years out of date (Here Maps) so occasionally have issues finding the estate entrance as they are trying to access via Elmgrove road, when the previous school entrance was. We’ve had lots of conversations with them and Here Maps , an a recent update should have now resolved this.
HOUSES
We are aware Royal Mail have not added all the houses to their address system yet. We are in touch with the developers to resolve this. However the following postcodes work on the map and for deliveries for most companies.
Maud Allen Way: BN17 6FW
Andrew Cairns Drive: BN17 6FT
Cann Lilly Apartments: BN18 6FU
FLATS
Cann Lilly is now on the following maps:
- Google Maps
- Apple Maps
- Waze
- Bing Maps
- Open Maps
- Ordinance Survey
To improve delivery to Cann Lilly, please make sure you use the correct address format & postcode.
Flat X, Cann Lilly
1 Andrew Cairns Drive
Littlehampton
BN17 6FU
For services like Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber, which depend on Google Maps for complete addresses, they might not yet be able to spot individual flats. However, they can definitely recognise the postcode. So, you can use your postcode and then add your full address. Since the map knows the postcode, the delivery driver should be able to find you easily.
